When the changes began setting in much more harshly than the previous month's and her body began to rebel against them, twisting and straining, Ciri allowed Yennefer to convince her to take the temporary Bonding potion. It has only helped somewhat.
Her mind is clearer, perhaps, than it otherwise would have been. Yet clearheadedness might not have been the best answer when resisting the changes only makes them worse. It's difficult not to fight back, though, when she feels control slipping away, when the fur sprouts on her neck and shoulders beneath her blouse and bursts through the back of her trousers in a lashing lion's tail. Fangs fill her mouth, claws lengthening, form hunching horribly under the creaking and cracking of her spine and ribs rearranging her posture by force.
Ciri screams, raking her claws into the wall to leave deep grooves that gleam with blood. ]
